1. Acceptance

By accessing or using TmpFiles.org you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Service Overview

This Service offers a temporary file‑hosting service that automatically deletes files after a chosen retention period. The service is intended for legitimate sharing such as documents, backups, or collaboration.

• Upload files directly from your device
• Download and host files via external URLs
• Share files through generated links
• Choose an auto‑deletion timer ranging from 1 to 48 hours

3. Usage Limits

To keep the service fair and performant we impose the following limits:

• Maximum file size of 100 MiB per upload
• Up to 200 uploads per hour for each user
• Files may be retained for a maximum of 48 hours
• No account registration is required

4. Prohibited Content

You must not upload, store or share any material that violates laws or community standards. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Adult sexual content, hate speech, extremist propaganda, or anything encouraging violence
• Child exploitation material – zero tolerance
• Malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Copyrighted works without permission
• Personal data of third parties without consent
• Phishing, fraud, spam, or deceptive content

5. Data Retention & Privacy

Files are automatically removed after the selected expiration period and are not retained beyond that time.

We do not use uploaded files for advertising, analytics or profiling, nor do we share them with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Service Availability

While we aim for high availability, service interruptions may occur. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, suspend the service temporarily, or delete files that breach these terms.

7. User Responsibilities

• Ensure you have the rights to upload and distribute any content you share
• Respect intellectual‑property rights and applicable laws
• Do not attempt to bypass usage limits or use the service for commercial automation without permission
• Report violations using the provided reporting mechanism

8. Monitoring & Reporting

We do not routinely inspect uploaded files, but we may investigate reports and remove offending content. Automated systems may also be employed to detect prohibited material.

Users can report problematic files via the “Report Content” link on each file page; investigations are typically completed within 24–48 hours.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your uploads. By using the service you grant us a limited license to store, serve, and delete those files for the duration of their retention period.

10. Limitation of Liability

TmpFiles.org is provided “as‑is” without warranties. We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, unauthorized access, or any damages arising from the use of the service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TmpFiles.org harmless from any claims or expenses resulting from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the service immediately for conduct that breaches these terms, is illegal, or threatens the integrity of the platform.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable international law and any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time; changes become effective upon posting. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Severability

If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
